Maroochydore State High School Study Abroad Trip(Report 1)

On July 25 th we departed from Kansai International Airport and arrived in Brisbane, Australia on the morning of July 26 th .

After we arrived in Australia, we took a bus to Maroochydore State High School. There, the students met their homestay families and went home to spend the weekend with them.

After the students spent the weekend with their host families, they returned to Maroochydore State High School on Monday for their first day of classes. First, the students and teachers at Maroochydore welcomed the students from Japan with a welcome party and the Tezukayama students met their school buddies.

Next the students had an orientation session where they learned useful English that they can use with their host families.

In their next class the students learned how to make mini skateboards and each student made their own mini skateboard.

After making their skateboards, the students had a lesson about Australian English.

Finally, the students enjoyed a quiz game activity and learned interesting facts about Australia before going home with their host families again.

It was a fun first day at Maroochydore State High School!
